Possible water outage on Pine Dr February 5 & 6, 2025

There is a possibility of intermittent water outages today and into tomorrow as we trace down a leak in the mainline along Pine Dr and the small cul de sacs that connect to Pine Dr.

We will post updates and notify customers of any extended outage that might come with the repair.

There is a possibility of intermittent water outages after midnight tonight while we are testing the water line integrity. These outages will be short in nature and hopefully will have minimal impact on customers. We will be done with this testing by 4 am at the latest on October 2, 2024.

Dear Water Customer,


New state and federal laws require us to inventory all water service lines in our service area. A service line is the underground pipe that carries water from the water main, likely in the street, into your home or building. We need to determine the material that your service line is made of, which means we will need your help.


Service lines are often copper, plastic, lead, or galvanized iron or steel. Older homes and buildings may have a lead service line. Drinking water is free from lead when it leaves our water treatment plant. However, water can absorb lead as it travels through lead pipes on its way to your faucet. Lead can cause serious health problems. If you have a lead service line, we need to take steps to reduce your lead exposure risk. Knowing your service line material is very important for your health and safety!


Customer Survey
We need your help to find lead pipes. Please complete the attached survey as soon as possible. If you need help locating your service line or determining the material type, contact us at 970-240-8123 or administrator@dallascreekwater.com. Return the completed survey form and a photo (e.g., taken with your cell phone) of the service line coming into your home or building.


Email completed surveys and photos to administrator@dallascreekwater.com or visit our office during normal business hours to drop off the survey form and show photos to staff at 334 S 5th Street, Montrose, CO 81401.

NOTICE OF FINAL DECISION BY COLORADO PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION PROCEEDING NO. 22AL-0192, DALLAS CREEK WATER COMPANY, INC 

On October 17, 2022, the Colorado Public Utilities Commission issued a final decision in Proceeding No. 22AL-0192W approving all participating parties’ settlement proposal dated September 27, 2022.  Rates will go into effect October 27, 2022.

A copy of the PUC’s Decision No. R22-0572 and the approved Tariff are available for inspection at the business office of Dallas Creek Water Company, Inc. located at 334 South 5th Street, Montrose Colorado 81401, on the company’s website at www.dallascreekwater.com, or via the Colorado Public Utilities Commission at 1560 Broadway, Ste. 250, Denver, Colorado 80202.
